Smith Island Bayside Cottage
Enjoy a quiet
and relaxing vacation on Smith Island, Md., snugly situated with the Tangier
Sound on the south and east, Kedges Straits on the north, and the beautiful
Chesapeake Bay on the west. The cottage sits on the western edge of Smith
Island at Rhodes Pt., one of three quaint villages on Smith Island. It is
fronted by a pristine salt marsh with a spectacular sunset view (the photo
above is looking due west from the deck). Smith Island is located approximately
ten miles west of Crisfield, MD on Maryland's Eastern Shore. It is accessible
exclusively by passenger ferries (no cars, we said quiet!). For details on

marshes teaming with all sorts of wildlife. It is truly a paradise for fishing,
hunting, crabbing, or just observing nature.
